The work Ein Fenster zum Hof is an examination of the artist’s immediate neighborhood. The daily view out of the window into a Berlin backyard becomes a visual game, it is a reassurance of one’s own location – the outdoor space becomes a familiar environment. Neighbors and time leave their traces and transform the courtyard into a place of perpetual change.
